Glad I finally went through with it!

It took me roughly 10 years to decide to have surgery. I'd seen a consultant years ago, but the
thought of surgery terrified me and I couldn't go through with it. This time just felt like the
right time and I wanted to research it further. When I met Marion at the consultation I felt
very at ease with her. At that stage I still wasn't sure whether I would go through with it, but
the whole process was very easy and every meeting I had before surgery put me more at ease
with my decision. I felt surprising calm on the day of surgery and only had mild palpitations
when the staff came to walk me to theatre. The staff at the hospital were great and I had no
pain after an initial few moments after waking up. Marion was great throughout the whole
process., prior to surgery, on the day and in the days immediately after. She called me the day
after surgery to check on me and was always a message or phone call away. The after care
was great and I felt very well looked after. The recovery was better than I expected, not really
any pain, just discomfort & stiffness. I’m a year on now and still can’t believe I went through
with it, but I’m so happy with the results. They look very natural, the scars are so neat and
Marion’s advice regarding what was appropriate for my body was spot on.
